I want to replace the windows in our 1960s home. What should I consider when picking new windows?

"There are many window attributes to consider. Materials, like wood, vinyl, or fiberglass; and type, such as casement, double hung, awning or fixed. Pay particular attention to energy efficiency, sound performance, vendor warranty and the window styles that are offered. Ultimately, you want your new windows to stand the test of time, look amazing and complement your 1960’s Cape Cod, Ranch or Mid-Century Modern house style. Do some online research, get the facts and then work with a trusted professional who can guide you through the process. Finally, view your new windows as an investment and comfort to your busy life."
