The Resource Home Show Hits Maplewood for its Second Year

The Resource Home Show will return for its second year to The Woodland in Maplewood from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 10. Inspired by the antique housing stock of the New Jersey bedroom communities of New York City, the show seeks to connect homeowners and home industry professionals. In its inaugural year, the event provided over 30 local and regional businesses with an arena to create exhibitions and DIY demonstrations of their services to hundreds of attendees.

This year’s show will feature an even more extensive and eclectic selection of professionals engaged in interior design, architecture, contracting, restoration, home maintenance, safety and upgrades, and energy solutions, along with niche trades such as stained-glass repair, closets, sustainable landscaping and more. Exhibitors will engage visitors through creative displays, educational presentations and, new this year, pop-up shops for holiday shopping. From fancy to functional, from decorative to utilitarian, if it is for the home, it will likely be on display at the show.

The event, sponsored by Inhabit Your Home, “a blog for the stylish and functional home,” is produced by Carla Labianca and Lisa Danbrot, owners of older homes, Realtors® in the community and enthusiasts of the area’s antique housing stock. “The show is unlike any other in the region — an event that brings a plethora of home resources together under one roof, (giving) our community and clients a one-stop place to meet, to actually have a face-to-face conversation with some of these very talented professionals,” Labianca says.
