High Point Highlights: Tracking the Trends – Part 3

Karen Wolf — principal and owner of Karen B Wolf Interiors in Short Hills — never misses a trip to the bi-annual High Point Market: her go-to-source for inspiration, fashionable finds and keeping tabs on what’s new or trending in home fashions. Take a look at what caught her eye this fall.

Karen Wolf caught up with celebrity designer, author and television personality Thom Filicia for a first hand look at some of his newest collections for Vanguard Furniture.

My selections convey the “Aesthetics of Joy” Trend prevalent in the marketplace right now: small luxuries that bring a smile to the home.

Selenite Candle Holders from Blue Ocean Traders. A beautiful use of the material and a great item for a console table or dining table…I even bought two for myself! www.blueoceantraders.com

Acrylic Box Art from Wendy Concannon. Love these fun acrylic boxes that can be used as wall art or to style shelves. www.wendyconcannon.com

Tov Daisy Cocktail Table. Love the happy!

I found this Festoni Murano Glass lamp during the last hour of my market visit. The beautiful teal color restored my trend spotting enthusiasm after a show with not that much color. Festoni is known for its bright approach to fabric wrapped furniture and their boutique line of hand blown glass lamps usually in solid colors. Always a happy find and a great way to end a market visit. www.festoni.com
